Kathleen S. (Schmidt) Eden, 67, of Sandusky, passed away Saturday, March 18, 2017, at Stein Hospice Care Center, surrounded by her loving family.
Kathy was born on September 4, 1949 in Sandusky, OH to the late George and Mary (Rosech) Schmidt.
Kathy was a 1967 graduate of St. Mary's High School and was employed with Erie County Care Facility for over 9 years in the laundry department. She was a member of St Paul's Lutheran Church of Sandusky and the America Legion Post #83.
She is survived by her husband, Robert G. Eden, who she married on January 25, 1971; two daughters, Wendy (Mitch) Schenk and Kelly Eden, both of Sandusky; two grandchildren, Dalton and Wyatt Schenk; two sisters, Rita (Robert) Wilson and Regine Schmidt, both of Sandusky; brother, David (Melissa) Schmidt of Sandusky; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Kathy is preceded in death by her brother, George Schmidt, in infancy.
Friends may call on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 from 4 pm to 7 pm at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E Perkins Avenue, Sandusky, OH. Funeral services will take place at the funeral home on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at 1 pm. Pastor Merlin Jacobs will be presiding over the services. Entombment will follow at Meadow Green Memorial Park in Huron.
