Michael W. "Six" Stevens 66, of Sandusky, passed away Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at Stein Hospice after a brief illness.
Michael was born July 24, 1950 in Mount Vernon, Ohio. A graduate of Mount Vernon High School, he went on to get his Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Bowling Green State University. There, he was a member of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity.
Michael worked for Sandusky Register for over 20 years. He was the owner and operator of Stevens Auto Sales in Sandusky.
Michael was an avid Cleveland Browns fan. He also loved attending the activities of his grandchildren.
Michael is survived by his son, Sean M. (Dionne) Amison of Sandusky; grandchildren, Seantell L. and Keysean L. Amison of Sandusky; sister, Linda (Gerald) Stevens-Butts of Canton, Ohio; brother, Donald A. Stevens of San Jose, Calif.; a host of friends, fraternity brothers and Register coworkers,
He was preceded in death by his parents, William O. and Mabel Stevens and stepmother, Ruth (Hull) Stevens.
Friends will be received from 11A.M. until the funeral service at noon on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky, Ohio. Elder George Poole, a fraternity brother of Michael's, of New Sardis Primative Church, Cleveland, Ohio will officiate. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery.
