Robert E. "Bob" McQuillen, 74, of Monroeville passed away Friday morning, March 31, 2017 at his residence following a lengthy illness.
He was born October 5, 1942 in Shelby, Ohio and was a 1960 graduate of Savanah High School.
Bob was a U.S. Army Veteran. He was a 28 ½ year employee of Norwalk Furniture where he drove truck and retired in 1999. He was a member of the Monroeville American Legion, Post 547, where he worked the fish fries and served on the Color Guard.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years. the former Shirley Adkins; three sons, Michael (Melaney) McQuillen of Monroeville, Brad (Angie) McQuillen and Randy (Christina) McQuillen both of Norwalk; nine grandchildren, six siblings, Mary Gene Bolen of Attica, JoAnn Nunez of Highland, CA, Charles T. McQuillen of Colorado Springs, CO, Terry L. (Linda) McQuillen of Adario, OH, Marie E. Lewellyn of Medical Lake, WA, Patrick A. McQuillen of Adario, OH; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Eileen (Stover) McQuillen.
Friends may call Tuesday, April 4, 2017 from 2-4:00 PM and 6-8:00 PM at the Pfeil Funeral Home, Monroeville Chapel, 109 Monroe Street, Monroeville.
Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at 10:30 AM. Pastor Bob Hudberg will officiate. Burial will be in the Adario Cemetery.
