Ralph C. Hafner, 46, of Norwalk, Ohio, passed away early Monday morning, April 3,, 2017 in the Stein Hospice Inpatient Unit, Sandusky, Ohio.
He was born June 10, 1970 in Willard, Ohio, and was a lifelong area resident.
Ralph was a 1989 graduate of Willard High School, and was a 26 year employee of R.R. Donnelly and Sons of Willard, Ohio. Ralph was a former employee of Missler's IGA of Willard, Ohio. He was a member of the Willard Conservation Club, was an avid golfer, and especially enjoyed coaching and going to his son's sporting events. Ralph was known as the "Baby Whisperer", having that special touch with babies.
He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Maureen A. (Gfell) Hafner of Norwalk, Ohio, by his son, Brandon J. Hafner of Norwalk, Ohio, by his parents, Richard F. "Mouse" and Jean M. (Armitage) Hafner of Willard, Ohio, by his grandson, Caleb Meacham, by his siblings, Rhonda (Lisa Tindadll) Hafner of Ann Arbor, Michigan, Ryan (Erin) Hafner of Perrysburg, Ohio, Rick (Erica) Hafner of Attica, Ohio, Randall Hafner of Wooster, Ohio, and Robyn (Mark) Roznoski of Sylvania, Ohio, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Ralph was preceded in death by his step sons, Zacheriah Meacham and Jeremiah Meacham.
Friends may call on Saturday, April 8, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service at 4:00 p.m. in Walker Funeral Home, 98 West Main Street, Norwalk, Ohio.
