Ruth Elaine Jacobs, 90, of Sandusky, passed away early Saturday morning, April 9, 2017 following a lengthy illness.
Ruth was born on May 8, 1926 in Uhrichsville, OH to the late Robert and Florence (Ginter) Driver.
Ruth graduated from New Haven High School in 1944 and attended a year at Heidelberg University in Tiffin, OH. She worked for 17 years as a book keeper for the Boy Scouts of America. She was a member of the Harlequin Community Theatre and Trinity United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her loving husband, Robert Jacobs, whom she married on August 11, 1945; special niece, Valerie (Steve) Ritzenthaler and numerous nieces, nephews and other loving relatives.
Friends and family may call on Thursday, April 13, 2017 at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E. Perkins Avenue, Sandusky, OH 44870 from 4:00 pm until time of funeral service at 6:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Maple Grove Cemetery in New Haven, OH at a later date.
