Fred Hunley, 67, Sandusky, left us for a better place on August 2, 2011, in Stein Hospice Care Center.
He was born on July 8, 1944 in Panola County, MS, to Earnest and Bertha (Jackson) Hunley.
Fred attended Tate County Mississippi public schools, and was a member of Fredonia Missionary Baptist Church, Coldwater, MS. He moved to Chicago in the late 1960’s and relocated to Sandusky due to his illness.
Fred enjoyed his life to the fullest and loved his family and friends.
He leaves to celebrate his life, son, Fredrick Hunley, Oklahoma; five grandchildren; sisters, Thelma (Wrennie) Cox, Easter (Oscar) Howard, and Edna Wilson, all of Sandusky, and Linda (Joe) Sanders, Byhalia, MS; and a brother, Elijah (Undraye) Hunley, Sandusky.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Tony Jackson; brother, Roosevelt (Roe) Hunley.
Friends may call on Saturday, August 6, 2011, from 3 P.M. until time of funeral services at 5 P.M. in Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Minister Earl Butler will officiate. Condolences may be shared at www.toftfh.com.
