Shane Elmer Gonzales, 41, of Sandusky, passed away Saturday, April 8, 2017 at his residence.
Shane was born on August 13, 1975 in Sandusky, OH to Walter Olivares and Mary Keegan.
Shane was a true jack of all trades and worked construction among other skilled trades. As a child, he was raised in the Life Tabernacle Pentecostal Church. Shane enjoyed fishing, skateboarding, and music. He had a tender, giving heart and was always helping others. He touched many people in his life through his generosity and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Shane is survived by his mother, Mary (Robert) Keegan of Vickery; adoptive father, Claudio Gonzales of Sandusky; son, Chandler Trent Gonzales of North Carolina; grandson, Axel; 3 sisters, Tammy (Arlie) Brooks of Monroeville, Andrea (Steve) Walker of Sandusky, and Barbara Clem of Sandusky; 2 brothers, Shannon (Cassey) Gonzales of Huron and Tony (Regina) Gonzales of Sandusky; step-sister, Ashley Keegan; and numerous loving cousins, nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Shane is preceded in death by his, birth father, Walter Olivares; maternal grandparents, Elmer and Belle Koch; and paternal grandparents, Claudio Sr. and Marianna Gonzales.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, April 17, 2017 at 1:00 pm at New Life Church, 6511 Milan Road, Sandusky, OH 44870. Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory is assisting the family.
