Robert E. Moore, Sr., 53, Sandusky, went home courageously after a lengthy illness on Sunday, August 7, 2011 in Stein Hospice Care Center with his family and friends at his bedside.
He was born on October 11, 1957 in Flint, Michigan.
He was employed by Wendy’s for 27 years.
Robert is survived by his loving and caring wife, Jackie (Green) Moore; one daughter, Simone Nicole Moore, Columbus, OH; two sons, Robert “Pac-man” Moore, Jr. and Kevin Moore, both of Sandusky; his mother, Ruth A. Moore, Sandusky; five brothers, Curtis Lathan, Maywood, IL, Clarence Moore, Jr., Wayne Moore, Paul Moore, and Darius Moore, all of Sandusky; four sisters, Darlene Moore Turner, Jasper, TX, Sheila Ann Moore Taylor, Sandusky, Deushawn Moore Sanders, Cincinnati, OH, and Dawn Moore Brown, Columbus, OH; eight grandchildren; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, friends, Wendy’s restaurant family, and second mother, Essie Brown.
He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Moore, Sr.; one brother, his grandparents, and several aunts, and uncles.
Friends may call on Thursday, August 11, 2011 from 6-8 P.M. in Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 12:00 Noon at Ebenezer Baptist Church, 1215 Pierce St., Sandusky. Rev. Scottie Aaron will officiate. Burial will be in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
