Lois Augusta (Opp) Weiland

Lois Augusta (Opp) Weiland, 99, residing in Columbia Station, OH, passed away on Wednesday, May 10, 2017 in The Villa Camillus, Columbia Station.

She was born on December 8, 1917 in DeKalb, Illinois to Karl and Alma (Fettel) Opp.

She was a 1937 graduate of Sandusky High School, and on March 6, 1939, she married Ellsworth A. Weiland. She lived in the Plum Brook area from 1939-1941 and in Bloomingville from 1944-2014.
She was a member of the Firelands Auxiliary, volunteering at the gift shop, was co-owner of Weiland's Garage in Bloomingville, belonged to Bloomingville Community Club, a former member St. Stephen's Church, was a homemaker, and enjoyed quilting, crocheting, sewing, ceramics, and her pets.

Lois is survived by her daughters, Donna (David) Warner, of Milan, JoAnn (Paul) Lang, of Buena Vista, CO, and Karen Marsh, of Sandusky; son, Kenneth (Karen) Weiland, of Olmsted Falls, OH; four grandchildren, Stephen Warner, of Warrington, PA, Susan Warner, of Surprise AZ, Kevin (Keri) Marsh, of Toledo, OH, and Angela Weiland, of Olmsted Falls, OH; four great-grandchildren, Morgan, Hailey, and Stephen Warner, and Keaton Marsh; cousin, Ellen Hudson, of Sandusky; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friends and care givers, Sam and Therese Snowden, and Kim Swanson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by Ellsworth on May 6, 1986; twin brother, Wilbur; brothers, Richard and Donald; and sister, Betty Jane (Opp) Brown.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. on Monday, May 15 until time of funeral services at 11 a.m. in Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Chaplain Mel Sayler will officiate. Burial will follow in Sandhill Cemetery, Margaretta Twp.
