Thomas C. Hoover Jr, 61, residing in Huron, passed away unexpectedly Friday evening, May 12, 2017 at Firelands Regional Medical Center.
Tom was born on March 11, 1956 in Sandusky, OH to the late Thomas and Donna (Ballah) Hoover.
Tom graduated from Perkins High School. He worked as a locksmith for NASA for over 20 years, and was a police officer for 25 years, most recently working for the Bay View Village Police Department. Tom was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sandusky. In his spare time, he enjoyed photography, computers, and working on his 1974 Gremlin.
Tom is survived by his wife of 40 years, Diane (Lippus) Hoover; two brothers, Dan (Dodi) Hoover of Rocky Ridge, OH and Mathew Hoover of Louisville, KY; his sheltie, Jade; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
In addition to his parents, Tom is preceded in death by his brother in infancy, Terrance Hoover.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, May 18, 2017 at 11:00 am at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E Perkins Ave, Sandusky with Rev. Merlin Jacobs presiding.
