Ronald L. Hauser Sr., 63, residing in Sandusky, passed away unexpectedly Monday afternoon, May 22, 2017 at Firelands Regional Medical Center.
Ronald was born on May 26, 1953 in Sandusky, OH to the late William H. and Mary V. (Riedy) Hauser Sr.
Ronald was a 1971 graduate from St. Mary's High School. He retired in 2016 from International Automotive Components in Huron after 18 years of service as a machine operator. Ronald was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the UAW Local 913. In his spare time, he enjoyed gardening, classic cars, watching westerns, tinkering, going to flea markets and spending time with his family and friends.
Ronald is survived by his daughter, Stacey (John) Kinney of Norwalk; son, Ronald L. (Suzie Elmlinger) Hauser Jr. of Sandusky; grandchildren, Ryan and Jayden; sisters, Carol Bloomfield of Berlin Heights and Mary Anne Hauser of Sandusky; brother, William H. Hauser Jr. of Sandusky; nieces, Sherry (Jason) Hartley and Laurie (Kenneth) Warren and nephew, J. Brian Bloomfield.
In addition to his parents, Ronald is preceded in death by his grandparents and other relatives.
Friends may call on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E Perkins Ave, Sandusky. Prayers will be recited in the funeral home at 9:30 am on Thursday, May 25, 2017 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 429 Central Ave., Sandusky. Father Joe Steinbauer will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Sandusky.
