David Gerold Kesterson, 36, residing in Sandusky, passed away Wednesday evening, May 24, 2017 at Stein Hospice Care Center after a brief illness.
David was born on January 15, 1981 in Port Clinton, OH to Danny Kesterson and Linda (Massie) Stietz.
David received his GED from Sandusky High School. He did maintenance for East Point Cottages on Put In Bay. David was a member of Grace Episcopal Church and A.A. He enjoyed fishing and watching movies, playing and watching football, especially the 49's, but his greatest joy was spending time with his children.
David is survived by his two sons, Michael and David Kesterson of Sandusky; mother, Linda Stietz of Sandusky and several sisters, brothers, and other relatives.
In addition to his father, David is preceded in death by his grandparents, Gerold and Lois Massie and Richard and Jenny Kesterson.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at 11:00 am at Grace Episcopal Church, 315 Wayne St., Sandusky with Rev. Jan Smith Wood presiding. A celebration of David's life will follow services at 814 Bardshar Rd., Sandusky. Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
