Robert S. Andrews Sr., 83, residing in Sandusky, passed away Tuesday evening, May 30, 2017 at Firelands Regional Medical Center following a brief illness.
Robert was born on June 3, 1933 in Monroeville, Ohio to the late Everett and Esther M. (Narde) Andrews.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Norwalk and enjoyed NASCAR, watching TV, old westerns and spending time with family and friends.
Robert retired from the Huron County Highway Department in Norwalk as a Truck Driver in 1991 after 35 years of service.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Nancy (Wilson) whom he married on March 17, 1962; three sons, William Wunder, Robert S. Andrews Jr. and Richard Andrews all of Sandusky; three sisters, Pauline Quillen of Monroeville, Shirley Lane of North Carolina and Cathy (Rob) Moore of Bellevue; one brother, Paul (Phylliss) Andrews of Sandusky and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Including his parents, Robert is preceded in death by two brothers, William and David Andrews and two sisters, Gloria Lovelace and Barbara Parsons.
There will be no visitation. Private family services will be held and conducted at Woodlawn Cemetery at later date.
The Groff Funeral Home and Crematory in Sandusky are handling the arrangements for the Family.
