Jean Lois (Hoffman) Schlett, 78, residing in Huron, passed away late Wednesday evening, June 7, 2017 at Stein Hospice Care Center after a brief illness.
Jean was born on October 13, 1938 in Sandusky, OH to the late Edwin and Ruth (Stancliff) Hoffman.
Jean was a 1956 graduate from Sandusky High School. She was employed as a radiologic Technoligist at the former Providence Hospital retiring after 50 years of service. Jean was a member of Calvary Episcopal Church and the American Legion Auxiliary. In her spare time, she enjoyed traveling to casinos and shopping. One of her greatest joys was watching her great grandchildren daily.
Jean is survived by her daughter, Linda (David) Lehrer of Huron; son, Dale Schlett of Norwalk; grandchildren, William, Kathryn and Jennifer, great-grandchildren, Julia and Makenna and many special friends.
In addition to her parents, Jean is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Lawrence "Larry" D. Schlett in 2008 and her sister in infancy, Patricia Hoffman.
Friends may call on Sunday, June 11, 2017 from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E Perkins Ave, Sandusky. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Monday, June 11, 2017 at 11:00 am. Rev. Rick Babcock will officiate. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery, Sandusky.
