Karen S. Fox, 73, Sandusky, died Wednesday, July 5, 2017, at her residence.
She was born in Sandusky on September 5, 1943 to the late Elmer and Meta (Amolsch) Lentz Sr.
Karen was employed by Perkins Public Schools for 35 years, as the Transportation Coordinator, and was there with her husband Paul Fox Sr. when they started Paul Fox Excavating.
She was a member of the Sandusky Eagles where she served as past President and secretary, and the grandmother's club. Karen worked for Erie County Elections Board as a pole worker for over 30 years. She loved gardening, canning, and bowling. Spending time with her grandchildren and supporting the family business were very important to her.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Paul Fox Sr.; children, Robin (Jerry) Hodgkinson Sr., Paul (Collette) Fox Jr., Brian Fox, all of Sandusky, Monica (Chris) Kegley, Berlin Heights; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sisters, Diane Lenke, Sandusky and Peggy Sanchez, Lexington, OH; brothers, Allen Lentz, Sandusky, and Elmer Lentz Jr., Georgia; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Sandra LeBlanc.
There will be no visitation. A Celebration of her Life will be held Sunday, July 16, 2017 from 1-4 P.M. at the Erie County Fairgrounds, Building 1, Sandusky. Family wants everyone to bring their favorite dish to remember Karen's love for potlucks.
