David Allen "Otis" Baker, 57, of Sandusky, passed away on Thursday, July 13, 2017 in Firelands Regional Medical Center.
He was born on November 8, 1959 in Sandusky. He attended both Sandusky and Margaretta Schools.
He loved the outdoors, fishing with his two buddies, and spending time with family and friends. He was a painter, carpenter, and had many hobbies.
David is survived by his mother, Joan (Stan) Lapchynski; sons, Mathew and Michael Trumpower; daughters, Brittany (Charles Frantz) Baker and Bethany Baker; five grandchildren; companion of many years, Kathy Mackall (and her two grandsons); sisters, Deborah (Roberts) Williams; Diane Case; Denise Taylor, Darla Baker, and Amy Fuller; brother, Douglas (Val) Baker; and a host of nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his father, Richard L Baker; brother, Daniel Baker; maternal grandparents, Leo and Mary Kaufman; paternal grandparents, Carl and Gladys Baker; nephew, Nicholas Baker; and many aunts and uncles.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 19 in Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery.
