William J. "Billie" Ferguson Jr., 73, of Sandusky, passed away Wednesday, August 9, 2017, in South Central Regional Medical Center, Laurel, MS, after a brief illness.
He was born in Sandusky to the late William and Ann (Sallee) Ferguson, Sr., and graduated from Sandusky High School where he was a track athlete.
William retired from Ford Motor Co., after 31 years of service. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend.
He leaves to cherish his memory, devoted wife of 52 years, Dorothy J. (Jones) Ferguson; sons, William J. (Nina) Ferguson III, Heidelberg, MS; daughter, Trina (Ferguson) Richardson, Winder, GA; four granddaughters; five grandsons; a great-granddaughter;; sister, Constance Johnson, Fayetteville, NC; step brothers, Burrel Gipson, Cleveland, OH, and Stephen Ferguson, Akron, OH; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Curtis Davis; sister, June E. Graves; brother, John Ferguson; and grandparents.
Friends may call on Wednesday, August 16, 2017, from 10 A.M. until time of funeral services at 12 P.M. Noon in Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery.
