Patricia L. (Meredith) Ross, 70, of Westlake, passed away after an unexpected illness in UH St. John Medical Center, Westlake, on August 31, 2017.
She was born on September 15, 1946 in Sandusky to the late George, Sr. and Annie (Allott) Meredith.
As the matriarch, she demonstrated through her daily actions to appreciate the value of family unity. She has inspired us to continue the family traditions.
Pat is survived by her husband of 52 years, David C. Ross; sons, David G. (Irena) Ross and Billy (Ann) Ross; "adopted" daughter, Cristine (Ben) Hoffmann; grandchildren, Tristan, Katlin, and Georgia Ross; brothers, Thomas "Max" (Pat) Meredith and David (Dianne) Meredith; many nieces and nephews; and brothers- and sisters-in-law, Carol Bravard, Stephen (Rosellen) Ross, Kathleen (Dr. Frank) Parzynski, Gloria J. Ross, and Charlie (Carolyn) Ross.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, George Meredith, Jr., Peg Edwards, Ted Meredith, Jack Meredith, and Joan Smith.
There will be two opportunities to greet the family. The first on Tuesday, September 5 from 4-7 p.m. in Jenkins Funeral Chapel, 2914 Dover Center Rd., Westlake, 44145, and the second on Wednesday, September 6 from 4-6:45 p.m. in Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky, 44870. Pat's funeral service will begin at 7 p.m. with Chaplain Mel Sayler officiating, and at her request, cremation will follow. Inurnment will be at a later date in Oakland Cemetery, Sandusky.
In lieu of flowers or donations, we ask that each of you engage in an act of kindness in her honor, and please tell the people who are special to you that you love them. It is never the wrong time to express kindness and love; you may not get the chance to do so tomorrow.
