Julia A. Barr, 79, Sandusky, passed away Friday, September 8, 2017, in Firelands Regional Medical Center.
She was born in Portsmouth, OH on July 10, 1938, to the late Henry and Effie (McGlone) Fodge.
Julia was a former member of the Eagles and Salvation Army and was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She is survived by her children, Lynda (Raymond) Reising, Berlin Heights, OH, Patricia Barr, Brian (Cathy) Barr and Dwayne (Sheri) Barr all of Sandusky; twelve grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; sisters, Helen Lather, Florida, Dorothy Winters, Bellevue, OH, and Violet Barnard, Chillicothe, OH; brother, Robert Fodge, Chillicothe, OH; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Virgil Barr Sr.; sons, Virgil Barr Jr. and Eldon Henry Barr in infancy; sisters, Buelah Blevens, Virginia Lockhart, and Alice Kelley; brothers, Raymond Fodge and Carl Fodge.
Friends may call on Tuesday, September 12, 2017, from 10 A.M. until time of funeral services at 12 P.M. Noon in Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery.
