Shirley M. Stuckey, 86, of Sandusky, Crossed the Creek peacefully Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at Parkvue Community of natural causes.

I was born in Galesburg, IL on Oct. 23, 1930 to Gaylord J. (1993) and Helen V. (Benning) (1987) Coakley, Sr.

Our family moved to Sandusky in 1942.
I graduated from Sandusky High in 1948. Many knew me from working as an operator for Ohio Bell; or as a clerk for A&P, Bishop Buick, Caryl Crane, & / or Kasper Transportation from where I retired in 1994.

I am still a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Sandusky. Before dementia, I was a Ladies Auxiliary member of the American Legion Post 83, AMVETS Post 17, and the Sandusky Yacht Club.

In addition to my parents, I was preceded in death by my devoted husband Kenneth R. Stuckey (1993); my elder son Jim Stuckey (1970); two siblings, Gaylord J. (Bud) Coakley, Jr. (2009) & Sally Whinnery (2012)

I am survived by one sibling, David (Deborah) Coakley; and my son Mark A. Stuckey, both of Sandusky.

Private family services have been held. Pfeil Funeral Home, 617 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky, OH 44870; is assisting my family with arrangements.

Those wishing to contribute to my memory may do so to Parkvue Community, 3800 Boardwalk Blvd., Sandusky, OH 44870, whose staff I sincerely recognize with a heart-filled THANK YOU for providing me with comfortable surroundings, a calm demeanor and compassionate care for the past 4 ½ + years.
