Robert A. "Bobby" Williams, Jr., 70, a resident of the Ohio Veterans Home, Sandusky passed away early Monday morning, October 23, 2017 at his residence.
He was born July 26, 1947 in Akron and grew up in the Detroit, Michigan area.
Bobby was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam Era where he was a member of the 82nd Airborne. After his honorable discharge he spent is adult years in Cleveland, Ohio. Bobby was employed as a bus driver with the Cleveland City Schools. He also coached football and baseball for the youth leagues in Cleveland.
He is survived by his special friends, Eric, Sheri, Dalton, Dylan, Cassandra, and AJ Geffert of Sandusky.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert A. and Margaree (Godfrey) Williams, Sr.
Friends may call Thursday, October 26, 2017 from 11:00 AM until time of Military Funeral Service at 11:30 AM in the Giffin Chapel of the Ohio Veterans Home, 3416 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky, Ohio 44870. Chaplain Paul Birmingham will officiate. Burial will be in the Ohio Veterans Home Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Stein Hospice Service, 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, Ohio 44870 or to the Activities Fund of the Ohio Veterans Home.
