Terrence E. "Terry" Karbler, 71, residing in Castalia, went to be with the Lord early Tuesday morning, October 24, 2017 at Stein Hospice Care Center after an illness.
Terry was born on January 1, 1946 in Sandusky, OH to the late Paul and Anna Rose (Printy) Karbler.
Terry was a 1965 graduate of Sandusky High School. He retired from New Departure General Motors after 30 years. Terry was a member of the UAW #913, Sandusky Maritime Museum and a very good friend of Bill's. In his spare time, he enjoyed his family and friends as well as, motorcycles, cars, target shooting, hunting and fishing. Terry loved life. He was a great story teller, his imagination and wit had no limits.
Terry is survived by his wife, Barbara (Krall) Karbler. He is also survived by the mother of his children Laura Allen; daughters, Ellene (Henry) Kleinoeder and Erin (Robert) Waldock both of Castalia; son, Matthew T. (Robyn) Karbler of Castalia; 6 grandchildren; sisters, Judi (Del) Nesbit and Connie (Carl) Grimani both of Sandusky; brothers, Timothy (Linda), Kevin, Kit (Dmitri); step-children, Mark Miller and family of Vancouver, WA and Jessica Hollingsworth and family of Winterville, NC and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
In addition to his parents, Terry is preceded in death by his granddaughter, Avery Waldock and nephew, Jeffrey Nesbit.
A celebration of life will be held in the summer of 2018 and announced at a later date. Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
