Phyllis J. (Sloat) Fox, 90, residing in Sandusky, passed away Wednesday afternoon, October 25, 2017 at Firelands Regional Medical Center after a brief illness.
Phyllis was born on November 8, 1926 in Sandusky, OH to the late Gregory and Minnie A. (Kaiser) Sloat.
Phyllis was a 1946 graduate from Sandusky High School. She retired from New Departure in 1987 after 19 years of service. Phyllis was a member of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church. In her spare time, she enjoyed crocheting, reading, mending for everyone and spending quality time with her family, especially her grandkids.
Phyllis is survived by her daughters, Barbara A. (Ray) Shupe Jr. of Huron and Helen Fox of Sandusky; son, Allen (Beth) Fox of Toledo; granddaughters, Brandi (Tim) Bristol, Kelli (Mark) Malone and Jamie (Ryan) Caligiuri; 8 great-grandchildren, Shealyn, Elise, Ty, Koti, Mason, Carson, Cole and Clark and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
In addition to her parents, Phyllis is preceded in death by her brother, Gregory Sloat.
Friends may call on Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at 10:00am until the time of funeral services at 11:00am at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E Perkins Ave, Sandusky. Deacon Phil Dinovo will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Sandusky.
