Dorothy McKenzie, 86, residing in Clyde, Ohio passed away suddenly Thursday afternoon November 2, 2017.
She was born on January 12, 1931 in Bellevue, Ohio to the late Sylvester and Estella (Missler) Didion.
Dorothy retired from the former Mark's Pick-N-Pay in Sandusky following 31 years of service.
Dorothy enjoyed spending time with and spoiling her family. She also enjoyed taking drives in the country with her husband. She loved animals, especially her birds and grand dogs.
Dorothy is survived by her husband, Edward McKenzie whom she married on May 17, 1947; two daughters, Mary Ann (Norm Schenck) Keyrouse of Vassar, MI and Lori (James) Vassallo of Phoenix, AZ; one son, Steven McKenzie of Sandusky, OH; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; five brothers, Tom Didion, Dick (Arla) Didion, Frank (JoAnne) Didion, Dave (Nancy) Didion and Jim Didion, and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
In addition to her parents, Dorothy is preceded in death by her seven siblings.
Friends may call on Friday, November 10, 2017 from 4-7 PM at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at 11 AM in the Chapel Mausoleum at Meadow Green Memorial Park, 2602 Bogart Rd., Huron. Rev. Rick Babcock will officiate. Burial will follow immediately after service.
