Dianne Mae Calhoun, 73, residing in Sandusky, passed away Monday, November 13, 2017 at The Willows at Bellevue after an extended illness.
Dianne was born on February 10, 1944 in Montgomery, WV to the late Frank Calhoun and Rose (Parsons) Cobb.
Dianne was a 1962 graduate from Sandusky High School. She was employed at the former Pick n Pay as a cake decorator and baker. In her spare time, she enjoyed playing in a pool league, enjoyed making cakes, singing karaoke and painting ceramics. Her greatest joy was her family.
Dianne is survived by her daughters, Kristina (Sam) Whicker of Bartlett, TN and Rose (Parrish) Shoup of Milan; sons, Gerald (Crystal) Hemmer Jr. of Fremont, Jeff (Christine) Hemmer of Castalia and Kevin (Joyce) Hemmer of Sandusky; 13 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; sisters, Donna (Dan) Leimeister of Berlin Heights and Deb (Gerry) Fezzuoglio of FL; brother, Richard (Cookie) Calhoun of Canal Winchester; step-sister, Lynne Greenburg of MT and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
In addition to her parents, Dianne is preceded in death by her daughter, Dianne Hemmer, brother, Frank Calhoun and step-father, Edwin Cobb.
Friends may call on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E Perkins Ave, Sandusky. Funeral services will be in the funeral home on Thursday, November 16, 2017 at 10:30 am. Pastor Jim Cooper will officiate. Burial will follow in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
