Troy Leon Tackett, 54, residing in Sandusky, passed away Wednesday morning, November 15, 2017 at Stein Hospice Care Center after a brief illness.
Troy was born on March 18, 1963 in Sandusky, OH to Troy and Ruth Ann (Greulich) Tackett.
Troy was a graduate of Sandusky High School. He worked construction and roofing in the Sandusky area for many years. He was a Veteran of the US Navy. Troy attended Holy Angels Catholic Church and St. Mary's Catholic Church. He was a hard worker and a jack of all trades. He was a great dad, husband, father, papaw, brother and son.
In addition to his parents, Troy is survived by his wife, Cynthia (Schippel) Tackett, whom he married on August 4, 1984. He is also survived by children, Tiffany, Danielle, Amanda, Sterling and Brooke; grandchildren, Miguel, Antonyio, JoCana, Jayden, Tamara, JaNessa, Raeonna, Tristen, Naydia, A'zeveon, Alejandro and Maria; sister, Helen (Raymond) Richards; brother, Kurt (Candice) Tackettand numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Friends may call on Friday, November 17, 2017 from 5:00 pm to 8:00pm at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E Perkins Ave, Sandusky. Friends may also call on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at Holy Angels Catholic Church, 428 Tiffin Ave., Sandusky at 9:00 am until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am. Father Joe Steinbauer will officiate. Burial will follow in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
