J.P. Potter, residing in Texas, and formerly of Sandusky, an unstoppable force; a moving current that changed the lives of whomever he touched. Serving as an evangelist at Churches of Christ in Texas, Ohio, Tennessee, Indiana, and Louisiana. Self-driven and God-fearing, as a salesman, he was exceptional. After complications from cancer and other health problems, J.P Potter passed away at St. David's hospital in Round Rock, Texas on Nov. 17, 2017.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Potter; four children, Michele Price, Michael Potter, Carl Potter, and Andrea Mang; three grandchildren, Le'Chele Price, Annalise Mang, and Jeremiah Mang; and siblings, Juanita Owens and Robert Potter.
J.P. was preceded in death by his father, Jasper Potter, Sr.; mother, Era Potter; and brother, James Potter.
A Memorial service will be held on Dec. 2nd at Lockhart Church of Christ in Lockhart, Tx. Visitation will also be held Friday, December 8, 2017, from 6-8 P.M. in Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Funeral services will be held on Dec. 9th at 11 A.M. in East Parish Street Church of Christ, 1219 E. Parish St., Sandusky. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.
