Mary Catherine (Hunt) Ehrnsberger, 94, Sandusky, died Thursday, November 23, 2017, in Providence Care Center.
She was born on June 20, 1923 in Cleveland, OH.
Mary was co-owner and operator of Ehrnsberger's Restaurant with her husband William M. "Sonny" Ehrnsberger Sr. for 45 years. She was later employed by Fashion Barn and Dots Ladies apparel stores.
She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, formerly active in the cub scouts, the Sandusky Archery Club, bowled in the Nolie and Buds bowling league for many years, and was an avid Cleveland Indians fan.
She is survived by her sons, William M. "Mike" Ehrnsberger Jr., Sandusky, and Mark D. (Patricia) Ehrnsberger, Horse Shoe, N.C.; grandchildren, William (Terrie) Ehrnsberger III, Port Clinton, Scott (Jane) Ehrnsberger and Christopher (Keaston) Ehrnsberger, both of Sandusky, Jennifer (mark) Elliott, Huron, Alexandria Ehrnsberger, Cullowhee, N.C., and Samantha Ehrnsberger, Horse Shoe, N.C.; eight great-grandchildren; three step grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, William M. "Sonny" Ehrnsberger Sr. in 1996; parents, Mary K. Wagner and Lorraine H. Hunt; and a daughter-in-law, Jacquelyn A. (Bly) Ehrnsberger.
A memorial services will be held Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at 11 A.M. in Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Deacon Jeff Claar will officiate.
Memorial contributions in Mary's name may be made to Boy Scouts of America or St. Mary's Catholic Church.
