After spending Thanksgiving with his wife, Alice, Bill Stuckey continued to celebrate his day of praise with their son, Brian in Heaven.
William Albert Stuckey was born on October 4, 1944 at his residence on Shaw Mill Road near Milan, Ohio, where he resided his entire life.
Bill graduated from Milan High School in 1963 and proudly served our country in Vietnam from 1965-1966 in the United States Army. After meeting Alice Risdon at Westinghouse in Norwalk, where they worked, Bill married the love of his life on March 29, 1969. God blessed their union with their son, Brian Keith who danced his way into Heaven on December 29, 2013. Bill worked at Luster in Huron, Westinghouse in Norwalk, Glidden in Huron and Chrysler Plastics in Sandusky before establishing Stuckey Insurance Agency, which continues to operate in the very competent care of his devoted employees and wife. In his spare time he enjoyed collecting, working on various projects and caring for his chickens and crops. Many will recall seeing Bill around town at Berry's Restaurant, PNC and the grocery stores.
Bill is survived by his loving wife, Alice (Risdon) Stuckey; sister, Nancy Jean Stuckey; 9 nieces and nephews and numerous great nieces and nephews.
In addition to his son, Brian, Bill is preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Vera (Chaffee) Stuckey; brother, Louis Stuckey; maternal grandparents, Ruben and Martha (Rice) Chaffee; paternal grandparents, Albert and Mary (Ackerman) Stuckey; cousin, Mary Stuckey and niece, Sherry Bauer.
Friends and family may visit on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 from 4 pm to 7 pm at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E. Perkins Avenue, Sandusky, OH. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at 11 am at The Chapel, 4444 Galloway Road, Sandusky, OH. Pastors Dave Brown and John Kerr will be officiating the services. Burial will follow at Milan Cemetery.
