Anne A. Fritz, 87, of Westlake, Ohio, and formerly of Collins, Ohio, passed away Saturday, November 25, 2017 at St. John Medical Center, Westlake, Ohio.
She was born October 14, 1930, in Cleveland, Ohio, to the late Ondrej and Anna (Dvorsky) Harnis, and was was raised by her parents, the late John B. "Barney" and Esther (Vale) Bruggeman.
Anne lived most of her life in this area. She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church. Anne graduated from Bellevue High School in 1948, and from Bowling Green State University in 1989. She was a farmer, and a substitute teacher for many area schools. She enjoyed spending time with her family, and grandchildren.
Anne is survived by her children, Mary Anne (Richard) Fletcher, Jr., of Collins, Ohio, Monica (John) Waber, of Jacksonville, Florida, Anne Fritz (Ovuakporaye Okorefe), of St. Petersburg, Florida, Julie (Mark) Marshall, of Westlake, Ohio, Roseanne (Ron) Garrison, of El Paso, Texas, Martha Fritz of Norwalk, Ohio, and Lauren Fritz of Cleveland, Ohio, by 19 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John J. Fritz in 1988, by her children, Suzanne Frederick in 2012, by Michael Fritz in 2005, Joan Fritz in 1997, Thomas Fritz in 1966, and John Fritz in 1956, and by her grandchildren Megan in 1989 and Matthew in 1980.
Friends may call on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in Walker Funeral Home, 98 West Main St. Norwalk, Ohio. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, November 30, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Paul Catholic Church, 91 East Main St., Norwalk, Ohio. Fr. Nicholas Cunningham will officiate. Burial will follow in Hartland Ridge Cemetery.
