Teresa Anne (Collins) Painter, 55, of Sandusky, passed away on Saturday, November 25, 2017 in Firelands Regional Medical Center after a sudden illness.
She was born on April 20, 1962 in Sandusky to the late Howard and Virginia (Ehrhardt) Collins, Sr. A 1980 graduate of Sandusky High, Teresa worked as a
hairdresser at Fresch Hair Design.
She loved to garden and flower in her backyard - she truly had a green thumb. She had a giving heart and loved to cook and spend time with her grandchildren. She also loved to visit Ft. Myers, FL.
Teresa is survived by her husband, David Painter, whom she married on April 20, 2006; children, Errin (Burton Purcell) Pocock and Mason Pocock; grandchildren, Ava, Ella, Willow, and Oakley; brothers, Howard (Carol) Collins, Brett (Donna) Collins, and Kenneth (Jill) Collins; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her nephew, Matthew Collins.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday, November 29 in Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Rev. Ken Hiser will officiate. Entombment will follow in Oakland Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Teresa's name to her family, for the future benefit of her children and grandchildren.
