Rolland R. Bertsch, 88, Sandusky, died Wednesday, December 6, 2017, in Parkvue Health Care Center.
He was born on January 21, 1929 in Sandusky to the late Eugene R. and Clara I. (Wagner) Bertsch.
He was a U.S. Army veteran serving in the Korean Conflict.
Rolland was employed by Wagner Quarries and the Citizens Banking Co., Civista Bank, and was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Sandusky.
He is survived by his wife, Lila M. (McDermott) Bertsch, to whom he married April 5, 1952; daughter, Sue A. (Bob) Winters, Wentzville, MO; sons, David R. (Peggy) Bertsch and Daniel M. (Linda) Bertsch, both of Sandusky, and Timothy A. (Glenna) Bertsch, Verona, KY; eleven grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Janice (Tom) Kenne.
Friends may call on Monday, December 11, 2017, from 10 A.M. until time of memorial services at 11 A.M. in Zion Lutheran Church, 503 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Rev. Dr. Eric L. Bodenstab will officiate. Inurnment will take place in Oakland Cemetery, where the American Legion Post 83 Color Guard will provide military honors.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Rolland's name to Zion Lutheran Church, or to Stein Hospice Service, 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, OH 44870.
