Ricardo "Rick" S. Tinoco Sr., 70, residing in Sandusky, passed away suddenly Monday, December 11, 2017 at Firelands Regional Medical Center.
Ricardo was born on December 23, 1946 in Mercedes, TX to the late Luis and Carmen (Soto) Tinoco.
Rick graduated from high school in Mexico. He was a final inspector at the G&C Foundry 30 years. Rick was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, working on vehicles, grilling, dancing, buying lottery tickets and, spending time with his family. He had a generous heart, a contagious sense of humor and enjoyed helping others. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Rick is survived by his wife of 40 years, Maria Cristina (Cortes) Tinoco. He is also survived by his daughters, Almalinda Tinoco and Carmen Tinoco both of Sandusky; sons, Ricardo Tinoco Jr. and Luis Tinoco both of Sandusky; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters; one brother, and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
In addition to his parents, Rick is preceded in death by two sisters, and one brother.
Friends may call on Friday, December 15, 2017 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E Perkins Ave, Sandusky. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Saturday, December 16 at 11:00 am.
