John Allen Johnson, 58, residing in Wakeman, passed away early Thursday morning unexpectedly, December 14, 2017 at his residence.
John was born on November 28, 1959 in Willard, OH to the late John L. and Dorothy E. (Stover) Johnson.
John was a Veteran of the US Army. He was a self-employed truck driver for several years. John was a member of the AMVETS Crestline Post. In his spare time, he enjoyed drag racing, racing cars and doing mechanical work. John was a fun loving, beer guzzlin, race car driving son of gun who loved having great conversations in his garage and spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandkids.
John is survived by his fiancée, Patricia A. Burns; daughter, Jessica (Shawn) Rohrbach; son, Josh (Shannon); six grandchildren; sister, Eva (Dennis) Blakely; brothers, Robert, Chris (Deb) and Merv Johnson and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Friends may call on Monday, December 18, 2017 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory Milan Chapel, 1S. Main St., Milan. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday, December 19 at 11:00 am. Rev. Wayne Chasney will officiate. Burial will follow in Milan Cemetery, Milan.
