Sally Ann (Hecock) Henning, 74, residing in Huron, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, December 17, 2017 at her home.

Sally was born on May 7, 1943 in Oberlin, OH to the late Louis and Lucille (Davidson) Hecock.

Sally graduated from the Oberlin schools and received her nursing degree at Riverside Hospital in Columbus and her Bachelor's Degree in Professional Studies from the University of San Francisco. She had additional studies in Emergency Nursing and Epidemiology. Sally's work experience included hospitals in Columbus, Elyria, Miami, FLand 25 years at Salina Valley Hospital in CA.

She loved reading fact based history and mysteries. Sally traveled all 50 states and many European countries, but always loved coming "home" to her grandfather's farm in Lorain County. Her loved dog, Laerha, went everywhere with her.

Sally is survived by her sisters, Christine H. Yochem of Huron and Holly (William) Eastin of Granite Falls, NC; daughter, Susanne Vidmar of Marysville, OH; three grandchildren, Zachary Cramer, Amanda (Kyle) Anderson, Scott Cramer and nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

In addition to her parents, Sally is preceded in death by her sister, Penny (William) Winn.

A memorial service for friends and family will be held in the spring and announced at a later date. Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
