Ruth Eleanor Wilson, 103, of Sandusky, passed away on Tuesday evening, December 19, 2017 in Stein Hospice Care Center, after a long life full of love and joy.
She was born on November 13, 1914 in Peterstown, WV. She married Samuel "Ted" Fred Wilson, who passed away in 1961.
She retired from the former New Departure in 1981. Ruth was a member of First Faith Community Church.
Ruth is survived by her daughter, Bonnie (Ed) Roll; grandchildren, Bill (Margie) Roll, Barry (Marla) Roll, Cindy (David) Crawford, and Richard (Beverly) Roll; nine great-grandchildren; ten great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, "Ted"; parents; brothers and sisters; and grandson, Sammy David Roll.
Ruth's celebration of life service will take place at 10 a.m. on Friday, December 22 in Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Pastor John Apple will officiate. Ruth will be laid to rest during a private ceremony in Perkins Cemetery. Friends are welcome to join the family to continue the celebration of Ruth's life during a luncheon at First Faith Community Church (starting at approximately 12 Noon), 225 E. Jefferson St., Sandusky.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Ruth's name may be made to First Faith Community Church.
