Mary Elizabeth (Cole) Wright, 63, Sandusky, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, December 22, 2017.
She was born on January 27, 1954 in Sandusky to the late Moddie Lee (Grant) Cole and David Jones.
She was employed by Firelands Hospital (Good Samaritan) in Dietary for 19 years, and Lear (IAC) for 16 years. Mary was a member of U.A.W. Local 913, Ebenezer Baptist Church, and attended New Bethel Church. She loved to sing, cooking, known for her Mary J. glaze cake, helping people, making people laugh, roller skating, winning a trophy with her good friend Pepsi, decorating with flowers, collecting things, and most of all spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She touched so many hearts of family and friends.
She will be sadly missed by her daughter, Deanna Lynn Renita Jones; son, Larry Nathaniel Jones; grandsons, #1Tre'von Arrington and Nathan Jones; granddaughters, 1# Natasha Nicole Jones and N'Kiyia Elizabeth Jones; great-grandchildren, whom she loved so much, Aiyden A'mirr Jones, A'Mirra Lynn Arrington and Zayne Arrington; sisters, Dorothy (Belmer) Butch Jackson, Jesse (Nick) Gordan, Pearl (Tommy) Stovall, Nettie (Ron) Ellis, Ann Jones and Shirley Jones; brothers, David (Sharon) Jones, Ray Grant, Jimmy Jones, Tony Jones, Lemon (Carolyn) Jones, and William (Rebecca) Jones; step children, Amanda Jones, Michelle Price, Marcea Wright, Joshua Wright, Jamal Wright, Ronnie Herrin, and Brandon Jones; my Nee Nee kids, Jarvis Cole Caston, La'Chateria Elizabeth Cole, Harvey, Jason, carl and Davion Caston; special daughter, Toshina Reed; god daughters, Chrishawna Amison Stamm and Andrea Grant; special son-in-law, Marvin Arrington; brothers-in-law, Al Jones, Cal Jones, Curtis (Pam) Jones, Thomas S. She was preceded in death by her parents; three grandchildren in infancy; sisters, Kathy Cole and Nancy Jean Jones; brothers, Roosevelt Cole and James Lewis Cole; a brother-in-law, Mervin (Crissy) Crayton; and a special friend, Catherine Ruffin.
Friends may call on Thursday, January 4, 2017, from 10 A.M. until time of funeral services at 12 P.M. Noon in Ebenezer Baptist Church, 1215 Pierce St., Sandusky. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery.
