Robert Ralph Lunato, 79, residing in Huron, passed away unexpectedly Thursday morning, January 4, 2018 at Firelands Regional Medical Center.
Bob was born on June 7, 1938 in Cleveland, OH to the late Nicola and Lena (Derrico) Lunato.
Bob graduated from Lakewood High School in 1956 and proudly received his bachelor's degree from The Ohio State University College of Pharmacy in 1962. He moved to Huron in 1964 and owned and operated the Plaza Drug Store until 1968. He loved being a pharmacist at Revco Drug Store and retired after 44 years in 2006. Bob was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, the Phi Delta Chi Fraternity and the Huron Knights of Columbus. In his spare time, he enjoyed photography, playing golf and spending time with his family and friends; to him "Family is everything, everything else is just everything else."
Bob is survived by his daughter, Nicole Lunato of Sandusky; son, Scott (Kelly) Lunato of Huron; six grandchildren, Dominique, Madison, Nicolas, Ethan, Joshua and Samantha; sister, Deborah Lunato of Parma; brother, Nicholas (Shige) Lunato of Canton, GA; niece, Mika (Michael) Owens of Astoria, NY and nephew, Anthony (Kimberly) Lunato of Zionsville, IN.
Friends may call on Monday, January 8, 2018 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E Perkins Ave, Sandusky. Prayers will be recited in the funeral home at 9:15am on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am at St. Peter Catholic Church, 430 Main St., Huron. Father Jeffrey McBeth will preside. Burial will follow in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
