Norman Lee Brooks

Norman Lee Brooks, 77, Sandusky, passed away, Monday, January 8, 2018, in Stein Hospice Care Center.

He was born in Sandusky to the late Ward and Gertrude (Livengood) Brooks, and lived in Groton Township nearly all his life. Norman was a 1958 graduate of Sandusky High School.

Norman worked for Sandusky Crushed Stone/Rogers Group for more than 30 years.

He was a member of Sandhill Community Church, where he was a former trustee, he loved fishing, camping, and working on his hot rods.

He is survived by his wife, Penny (Platt) Brooks; daughters, Rebecca Brooks, and Roberta (Roy) Weisz, both of Clyde; step daughter, Mindy (Dave) Polanco, Sandusky; step sons, Donald Eck and William Young, both of Sandusky, and Kevin (Linda) Eck, Reynoldsburg; grandchildren, Charles (Tricia) Weisz, Perrysburg, Jeanette F. Weisz, Sylvania, David (Courtney) Weisz, Clyde; step grandchildren, Lauren, Collin, Jacob, Drew, Trevor, Kyle, and Matt Eck, Brandon Michael and Matt Polanco, and Spencer, Katilyn, Kelsey, and Kalya Clemens; great-grandchildren, Ralphie, Willow, Avery, Cora and Ellie Weisz; great-step grandchildren, Arianna, Izaac, and Loretta Polanco.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Barbara Brooks; step daughter, Jill Clemens; brother, Allan Brooks; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ward and Grace Platt.

Friends may call on Friday, January 12, 2018 from 8 A.M. until 12 P.M. Noon in Sandhill Community Church, 7808 W. Mason Rd., Sandusky. Fellowship will follow the visitation and a funeral service will begin at 1 P.M. in the church. Rev. Steven Trimble will officiate. Burial will follow in Sand Hill Cemetery.
