Sandra L. (Schmidt) Riedy, 72, residing in Sandusky, passed away Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at Firelands Regional Medical Center after a brief illness.
Sandra was born on February 25, 1945 in Sandusky, OH to the late Elton and Dorothy (Aicher) Schmidt.
Sandra enjoyed knitting and needle point.
Sandra is survived by daughter, Jacqueline (Fred) Connor of Sandusky; son, James (Jennifer) Riedy of Sandusky; grandchildren, Madysen, Mercedes, Danielle, Robert, Jonathan and Jennifer; six great-grandchildren; sisters, Judy Withrow of KY and Lynda McCutcheon of Sandusky and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
In addition to her parents, Sandra is preceded in death by her husband, Dale A. Riedy in 2008; sister, Karen Nelson and brother, Robert Schmidt.
Friends may call on Thursday, January 11, 2018 from 12:00 pm until the time of funeral services at 1:00 pm at the Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory Huron Chapel, 2602 Bogart Rd., Huron. Pastor Wally Gilbert will officiate. Burial will follow in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
