Jody Ann Gibson, 62, of Castalia, passed away after a brief illness early Wednesday morning, January 17, 2018 in Stein Hospice Care Center.
She was born on August 1, 1955 in Bellevue, the daughter of George Carter and Joann (Palmer) Artino. Jody attended Sandusky High School.
Jody worked alongside her husband to help build Jim's Auto Sales & Salvage in Sandusky. She loved cars and enjoyed talking with all of the friends and customers who stopped by.
Jody is survived by her husband of 40 years, James A. Gibson, Jr.; son, Jason (Kristina) Carter; grandchildren, Chase and Grace Carter; her family, Cliff (Kay) Brumbaugh, of Green Springs, Chuck (Debbie) Artino, of Toledo, and Bobby (Lisa) Artino, of Sandusky; sister-in-law, Marjorie Carter, of Vermilion; and 36 nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Dave and Curt Carter.
There will be a private family service in Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky., to celebrate her life and all of the love she shared with family and friends.
Her family requests in lieu of flowers, that memorial contributions be made in Jody's name to Stein Hospice, 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, OH 44870. C
