Stephen M. Parker, 67, of Collins, Ohio, passed away Sunday, January 21, 2018, in his home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born August 16, 1950 in Norwalk, Ohio, to the late George H. and Dortha L. (Brown) Parker and lived most of his life in the Wakeman area.
Steve was a veteran of the U.S. Army National Guard. He was a former member of the Wakeman Police Department, and was a former Sheriff's deputy for former Sheriff John Borgia. Steve was also employed by his families business, F.V. Parker and Sons Trucking Company of Wakeman, Ohio. He enjoyed working on hot rods and restoring classic cars. Steve was a member of Eagles Aerie #4354 of Wakeman, Ohio.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy R. (Baxter) Parker of Collins, Ohio, by his children, Stephenie E. (Kevin) Cox of Plain City, Ohio, Dar K. (Dan) Pangio of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, and Stephen G. (Samantha Loveday) Parker of Wakeman, Ohio, by his granddaughter, Ava Rose Parker, by his brother, Greg Parker of Norwalk, Ohio, by his sister, Ellen E. (Ray) Fannin of Wakeman, Ohio, and by his former wives, and mothers of his children, Ally "Dixie" Scott of Worthington, Ohio, and Gail Parker of Wakeman, Ohio.
Steve is also preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Forrest V. and Hazel Parker, and by his maternal grandparents, William and Lena Brown.
Friends may call on Friday, January 26, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 12:00 noon, in Walker Funeral Home, 98 West Main Street, Norwalk, Ohio. Pastor Charles Conrad of The Chapel, South Campus, will officiate.
