Vernon was primarily a carpenter, but also worked for the railroad and retired from Norwalk Furniture in 1993.
In post-retirement, he drove for Services for the Aging for a decade. His most charming appeal was his love for his wife Veronica. He was a true family man and dearly loved by them. He enjoyed camping, traveling, gardening and playing Euchre. Vern was also an avid sports fan of both Norwalk and St. Paul High, frequently cheering on his many grandchildren and great grandchildren at area schools. Above all, he treasured spending time with his family.
