Diane R. Jacobs, 72, Sandusky, passed away on Wednesday, February 7, 2018, in Stein Hospice Care Center, after a six year battle with cancer.
She was born in Snover, MI, to the late Clare and Rosalie (Griffin) Krueger. Diane graduated in 1963 from Sandusky, MI, and then attended Saginaw MI cosmetology school.
She married her high school sweetheart, Donald, in 1964 in Michigan, and they moved to Sandusky in 1988. They have enjoyed traveling since their retirement in 2004, traveling in their 5th wheel, wintering in Florida, Texas and Arizona. Diane loved being a grandmother, and was very proud of all her grandchildren.
Diane enjoyed her career as a hairstylist, working for 40 years, in Sandusky, MI, Marlette, MI, and Sandusky, OH.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Donald Jacobs; daughter, Renae (Brian) Miller, Monroeville; grandchildren, Dillon, Stephen, Sydney, Dakota, and Ava; and brother, Bruce Krueger, Snover, MI.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Kyle Grifka; and her parents.
Friends may call on Monday, February 12, 2018, from 10 A.M. until time of memorial services at 11 A.M. in The Chapel, 4444 Galloway Rd., Sandusky. A luncheon will follow. Rev. Todd Nielsen will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Diane's name may be made to Cancer Services of Erie County, 505 W. Perkins Ave., Sandusky or to Stein Hospice Service, 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, OH 44870.
