Alma "Ruth" Iehle, 94, residing in Loudon, TN, and formerly of Sandusky, OH, died Tuesday, February 27, 2018, at her residence.
She was born on June 2, 1923, in Sandusky, OH, to the late Henry and Orleana (Smith) Klein, and was a graduate of Sandusky High School.
Ruth worked many years in the cosmetics department at Gray Drug Store in Sandusky and continuing when it became Rite Aid.
She was an active member of St. Stephens United Church of Christ while in Sandusky, and moved to Loudon, TN in 2003 to live with her daughter and son-in-law, where she was a member of The Community Church of Tellico Village.
She is survived by her daughter, Sherry (Steve) Popovich, Loudon, TN; son, Dennis (Margery) Iehle, Sandusky, OH; grandchildren, Gidget Wagner, Heath Bernston, Stiner, Rick, and Randy Wright, and Emily Ott; numerous great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, to whom she was married October 17, 1942, Owen Iehle; parents; daughter, Diane Iehle; great-granddaughter, Tanner Price; and seven brothers and sisters.
Friends may call on Monday, March 5, 2018, from 9:30 A.M. until time of funeral services at 11 A.M. in St. Stephen United Church of Christ, 905 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky. Rev. Jerald Fenske will officiate. Burial will follow in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
Memorial contributions may be made in Ruth's name to St. Stephen United Church of Christ, or to one's favorite charity.
