Larry J. Mason, 78, of Norwalk, Ohio, passed away Sunday, March 4, 2018, in Fisher-Titus Medical Center.
He was born August 14, 1939, in Elyria, Ohio, to the late Elvin K. and Hazel Mason, and was a lifelong area resident.
Larry retired from Norwalk Furniture Company in 1999. He was a member of Eagles Aerie #1235 of Sandusky, Ohio, and was a member of the Norwalk Moose Club. Larry was the manager of the Norwalk Furniture Softball team for many years, and also enjoyed dart ball. He especially enjoyed being with his family.
Larry is survived by his wife of 58 years, Nancy (Timman) Mason of Norwalk, Ohio, by his children, Rev. Ted (Glenda) Mason of Ashland, Ohio, Steve (Whitney) Mason of Olmsted Falls, Ohio, Rodney (Miranda) Mason of Louisburg, North Carolina, Kyle Mason of Norwalk, Ohio, Melodie Mason Brown of Sandusky, Ohio, and Shannedoah (Rich) Pratt of Louisburg, North Carolina, 21 grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren soon to be born.
He was preceded in death by his son, Kenneth Mason in 2012, by his daughter, Becky Winland, and by his sister, Charlotte Eberly.
Friends may call on Thursday, March 8, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. in Walker Funeral Home, 98 West Main Street, Norwalk, Ohio. Pastor Rob Duncan will officiate. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Norwalk, Ohio.
