Victor "Herb" Stark

Victor "Herb" Stark, 80, of Monroeville passed away Tuesday evening, March 6, 2018 at his residence surrounded by his family following a lengthy illness.

He was born October 10, 1937 to Victor and Cynthia (White) Stark in Sandusky.

Herb worked for the Ford Motor Company in Sandusky for over 40 years, retiring in 1997. On October 27, 1956 he married Linda Ryerson and they were blessed with five children.

He was a member of the Congregational Community United Church of Christ, Monroeville. He enjoyed his family, camping, and fishing.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Linda (Ryerson) Stark; four children, Rene' (Tim) Dearth of Clyde, Mike Stark, Dale Stark, both of Monroeville, and Amy (Jon) Bishop of Norwalk; seven grandchildren, Timmy (Danielle) Dearth, Jennifer Dearth, Bradley (Tiffany) Dearth all of Clyde, Paige Stark, Morrigan Huffman Shain Stark, and Clint Stark all of Norwalk; seven great-grandchildren, one sister, Juanita (Roger) Hershiser of Castalia; numerous nieces, nephews, twenty-one foster children, and ten exchange students.

He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Shari Stark; his parents, and one brother, Richard (Marilyn) Behrendsen.

Friends may call Sunday, March 11, 2018 from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM in the Pfeil Funeral Home, Monroeville Chapel, 109 Monroe Street, Monroeville. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Monday, March 12, 2018 at 11:00 AM. Rev. Dr. Wayne Chasney will officiate.
