James "Jim" Alfred Brady, 88, passed away on Saturday, March 10, 2018 after a brief illness.
He was born January 16, 1930 to James K. and Louise Brady in Mt. Clare, WV. On June 18, 1949, he married Betty Jean Phillips. Together, they had five children.
Jim served in the Army from 1952 to 1954, during the Korean War and was stationed in Germany. He retired from Oscar Mayer in Sandusky in 1993 after working there for 25 years.
His hobbies included working on and showing his classic car, collecting coins, fishing, and gardening.
He is survived by his two children, Michael (Julie Fisher) Brady, of Holland, Ohio, and Tina (Brady) Smith, of Taylor Mill, Kentucky; eight grandchildren, Rebecca, Stephen, Brian, Brandon, Brett, Amanda, Jamie, and Derek; and five great-grandchildren, Kaylyn, Dana Leigh, Natalie, Parker, and Bentli.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty, in 2011; two daughters, Sandra (Brady) Dietlin, in 2010, and Karen (Brady) Comer, in 1998; one son, James Alfred Brady, Jr., in 1982; and his two brothers and two sisters.
There will be no services. Interment will be in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron. His ashes will be buried with this wife's.
