Vivian Giving, 68, Sandusky, passed away on Monday, March 12, 2018, at her residence after a lengthy illness.
She was born on May 16, 1949 in Gould, Arkansas to the late Edward and Mary (Francis (Wright) Pool. The oldest of 12 children, she graduated from high school and started working at Good Samaritan Hospital and Firelands Hospital, retiring after 39 years.
She is survived by her children, LaRond Giving, Brian (Chardonnay) Giving, and Alicia R. (Lamont) Shavers; grandchildren, TaniSha, Jasmine, Tyren, LaShawna, and Zaige; siblings, Delores (Allen) White, Ovida (Calvin) Adcock, Lee Pool, Edward (Tameka) Pool, Betty Pool, Nathaniel Pool, Regina Pool, Sondra (Gerald) Skelton, Darlene (Richard) Kimble, and Theresa (Dwight) Olgesby; four great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. Vivian loved Jehovah and held on to hope of one day joining his kingdom.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Barbara Pool; and a brother, Clarence Pool.
A gathering will be held on Friday, March 16, 2018, from 1-3 P.M. in Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky.
