Laura E. Harris, 74, of Norwalk, Ohio, passed away Thursday, March 22, 2018 in Norwalk Memorial Home, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born April 11, 1943 in Springfield, Ohio, to the late Samuel and Effie (Swaney) Cardman, and lived in this area most of her life.
Laura was a member of the Norwalk Alliance Church. She was a former telephone operator for G.T.E., and was a former waitress at Cardman's Restaurant, and Berry's Restaurant.
Laura enjoyed cooking, gardening, and especially enjoyed being with her children, and grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Sean R. Harris of Norwalk, Ohio, Michelle R. Gundlach of Norwalk, Ohio, and Christina D. (Bryan) Lund of Norwalk, Ohio, 17 grandchildren, and 20 great grandchildren.
She is also survived by her brothers, James (Carol) Cardman of Norwalk, Ohio, Samuel Cardman of Boxborough, Mass., Tony Cardman of Ft. Wayne, Texas, Steven Cardman of Ft. Wayne, Texas, and David Cardman of Puyallup, Washington.
Laura was preceded in death by her husband, Frank L. Harris in 2013, by her daughter, Angela M. Beamer in 2005, and by her brother, Richard Carman.
Friends may call on Monday, March 26, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. in the Norwalk Alliance Church, 2755 St. Rt. 250 South, Norwalk, Ohio. Rev. Kevin Seager will officiate. Interment will be in Hester Cemetery, Norwalk, Ohio.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Norwalk Alliance Church Food Bank, or to the Benevolent Fund.
